QSSI Awarded 10 Year Subcontract from IBM in support of the Front End Business Integration (FEBI, also called ADvance)

Columbia, MD – June 06, 2005 –QSSI, a provider of IT solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a 10 year Subcontract from IBM in support of the United States Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA).

Using a phased development approach, FSA is modernizing and integrating its core business functions through the reengineering, retirement, and replacement of existing legacy systems.

These core business applications are integrated with a Financial Management System using Oracle’s Federal Financials Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product enabling FSA to have a financial “worldview” of its business. Business process re-engineering tasks will include:

Conducting assessment of current business processes;
Conducting assessment of best practices in financial-aid lending;
Conducting fit-gap analysis;
Aligning business requirements with functional requirements;
Producing change-management and communications plans; and
Developing technical requirements, designing interfaces, coding and unit-testing interfaces, and deploying interfaces into production.
